To search for variations of a patient named John Doe

  1. In the Last, First Name field, type DOE,JOHN.

  2. Click Search.

  3. After the search is complete, change the patient name to DOE,JON.

  4. In the Search area, select the Add results to last search checkbox.

  5. Click Search again.

The search results are added to the previous results so that all patients named John Doe or Jon Doe are displayed at once.
