Solution
You may encounter any of the following communication errors when using the Client. Follow the suggestions in the error dialog to help solve the problem.
400 Bad File Request
Suggestion: Please contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 400 Bad File Request—this usually means that the URL is incorrect.
401 Unauthorized
Suggestion: Please click Try Again, if this option is available. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 401 Unauthorized—the page you tried to access is only available to people authorized by the host, the password may be incorrect, or the server may be looking for an encryption key from the client application to establish secure access but is not getting the key.
403 Forbidden/Access Denied
Suggestion: Please contact your system administrator to gain access. Technical Details: 403 Forbidden/Access Denied—you must have special permission to access the site. Your password or user ID may be incorrect.
404 File Not Found
Suggestion: An error may have occurred at the server or the server is unavailable. Please wait a moment and click Try Again, if this option is available. Technical Details: 404 File Not Found—the server cannot find the file you requested. The file has either been moved or deleted, or the wrong URL or document name has been provided.
408 Request Timeout
Suggestion: Please click Try Again, if this option is available. If the problem continues, contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 408 Request Timeout—the Client stopped the web page from loading before the server finished retrieving it. This usually occurs when servers are slow or file sizes are large.
500 Internal Error
Suggestion: Please contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 500 Internal Error—the server could not send the web page because of configuration problems with the server.
501 Not Implemented
Suggestion: Please contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 501 Not Implemented—the Web server does not support the requested feature. For example, the web server must have expensive software installed for a website to stream certain media files. Most web servers do not support this.
502 Service Temporarily Overloaded
Suggestion: Please click Try Again, if this option is available. If the problem continues, contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 502 Service Temporarily Overloaded—the server is experiencing high traffic. Alternately, 502 Bad Gateway—the server that you tried to access must obtain the document from another server and received an error message from that server.
503 Service Unavailable
Suggestion: Please wait a moment and click Try Again, if this option is available. If the problem continues, check that your Internet connection is working by trying to open an external website through your browser window. If the problem still continues, please contact your system administrator. Technical Details: 503 Service Unavailable—either the server that hosts the site is currently not working or your Internet gateway is down. Alternately, you have lost your Internet connection or the quality of the connection is poor at this time.
