Troubleshooting: Window level differs between List and Image area prints

Issue

I get different results when printing the same study from the List area as opposed to the Image area. The window level (image brightness and contrast) is not the same in each case.

Details

Window level differences in prints from the List and Image area are due to the following:

• Saved window level values are used when printing from the List area, but not the Image area.

• Current window level values (whether applied automatically or manually) are used when printing from the Image area, but not the List area.

Solution

The only way to always produce the same results is to save studies with their current window level values. Otherwise, if printing from one area consistently gives you better results than the other, then use that method for most print jobs.
