IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Configuring printers and printing options > Defining Composite Layout templates for printing
When creating or editing Composite Layout print templates, you must set up a grid of image and text elements for users of the template to use as targets for placing study images or text.
| Grid element type | Usage |
|---|---|
| Scale to Fit | Images dragged into a Scale to Fit grid element are resized to fit the area. The entire image is printed. |
| True Size | Images dragged into a True Size grid element are scaled to their actual size. Parts of the image that do not fit in the grid are not printed. |
| User Defined Text | Template users can insert study attributes such as patient name or study date or type freeform text. |
| Text > Study Attribute | Study Attributes = options such as Study Date, Physician Name, Patient Birthdate, Report Text, and so on. The study attribute you select for the template is automatically printed. The information is retrieved and inserted using values from the study to which the inserted images belong. |
