IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Configuring dictation > Configuring the IMPAX Reporting solution
You can disable certain speech workflows (in the Reporting options dialog) if the workflows are not relevant.
For example, if correctionists are not available for a hospital, you want to disable the offline speech recognition as these dictations will end up in a queue for the correctionists in IMPAX RIS. Or it may be hospital policy that only online speech recognition with self-correction is used for report creation and you would want to disable all other workflows.
The following IMPAX RIS parameters determine if a workflow is disabled or not:
TEXTAREA.DISABLE_DIGDIC—disables digital dictation.
TEXTAREA.DISABLE_OFFLINE—disables offline speech recognition.
TEXTAREA.DISABLE_ONLINE—disables online speech recognition.

You can also disabled the Suspend and Submit for correction buttons workflow buttons that appear in the Report panel of the Text area and the EOL dialog by disabling the following IMPAX RIS parameters:
TEXTAREA.DISABLE_SUSPEND—disables the explicit (Suspend button) or implicit suspending of dictations.
TEXTAREA.DISABLE_SUBMIT_FOR_CORR—disables the submitting of a report for correction (Submit for correction button).
![]() | Note: By default the Suspend and Submit for correction buttons are enabled. |
For more information on disabling the IMPAX RIS parameters, refer to the IMPAX RIS documentation.
