Troubleshooting: Saving a softcopy presentation state object fails

Issue

When trying to save a softcopy presentation state object, the save fails.

Details

The following lines appearing in the DICOM Object Sender's log may indicate that the DICOM Object Sender Windows service has stopped processing:

A 2010.09.07 09:20:41.228 (0x7fc) dicomobjectsender odbc_dbc_class::connect: Unable to connect to database mvf_ora as user mvf. Will attempt to reconnect in 10 seconds. The connection will be retried 19 more times.
A 2010.09.07 09:20:51.275 (0x7fc) dicomobjectsender odbc_dbc_class::connect: Unable to connect to database mvf_ora as user mvf. Will attempt to reconnect in 10 seconds. The connection will be retried 18 more times.:

Solution

  1. Restart the DICOM Object Sender Windows service on the Application Server.

  2. If the softcopy presentation state object still fails to save, contact Agfa Support.
