Understanding when IMPAX Client licenses are released


The following table describes when licenses are released based on different user actions.

ActionLicenses
When a user logs out of the IMPAX ClientAll checked out licenses are released.
When a user shuts down the stationIf the user does not log out of IMPAX Client first, the license is freed when the ticket expires (up to 15 minutes).
When the station goes into hibernation modeLicenses are not released until ticket renewal or the user logs out of the IMPAX Client.
When the screen-saver mode is activatedLicenses are not released until ticket renewal or the user logs out of the IMPAX Client.
When the user locks the stationLicenses are not released until ticket renewal or the user logs out of the IMPAX Client.
When the station is put in stand-by modeLicenses are not released until ticket renewal or the user logs out of the IMPAX Client.

When the ticket is renewed, the license is released and reacquired. If IMPAX cannot get the license originally acquired, the Application Server gives the user the next available license. When the user logs out of the Client, the license is returned to the license pool. If the Client crashes, the license is consumed until the ticket expires (up to 15 minutes).
