We recommend the following Cisco settings for a load-balanced environment:
flow-timeout-multiplier
The values for the flow-timeout-multiplier setting depend on what the flow timeout is for the content rule (either HTTP or HTTPS). If the site has left the flow timeouts at the default value of 8 seconds, the HTTP connection needs a flow timeout multipler of 450 to give a total timeout of 3600 seconds or 1 hour, which matches the default timeout on the IIS server. Correspondingly, the HTTPS connection has a default timeout of 16 seconds and a flow timeout multiplier of 10 is needed to give a 160 seconds timeout—this is close to the value of 120 seconds used in IIS for HTTPS connections.
