Removing the contents of a log file

When troubleshooting a problem, it is good to start with a clean log file. Remove the contents of an existing log file to create a log file that captures the specific problem you are trying to resolve.

To remove the contents of a log file

  1. Open the Business Services Configuration Tool.

  2. Switch to the Logging tab.

  3. Select all log files to be cleared.

  4. Click Clear Selected Log Files.

    The contents of the log file are removed.
