The password and account lockout policies required by the site are determined by the hospital's IT department. Use the Local Security Policy settings dialog to configure login security for the Application Server. For a description of each password and account lockout policy, refer to Password and account lockout policies: Reference.

To set the password and account lockout policies
From the Start menu select Administrative Tools > Local Security Settings.
To modify the Password Policy information, double-click the policy to be changed.
Make any necessary changes to the password policy. Click OK.
The policy has been changed.
Under Account Policies, click Account Lockout Policy.
To modify the Account Lockout Policy information, double-click the policy to be changed.
Make any necessary changes to the account lockout policy. Click OK.
The policy has been changed.
