IMPAX Client Installation

The IMPAX Client software is used to view, interpret, and distribute medical reports and images. The IMPAX Client installation program installs the full Client, excluding any integrated applications (such as TalkStation, IMPAX Reporting, Volume Viewing, the Orthopaedic application, or other clinical applications). To install it, you do not have to be logged in as a Windows administrator.

3-4 GB recommended for all new systems for optimal performance and viewing of large volume image sets.

• 2.8 GHz CPU recommended
• Adobe Acrobat Reader (available from Adobe: Download Adobe Reader)

Instructions

To install IMPAX Client

1. Click this link: Install IMPAX Client.
2. In the File Download dialog, click Open or Run.
3. If a prompt appears about downloading and installing missing components, click OK.

   If notified, follow the prompts to download and install the following prerequisites:
   

   • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
   Restart the computer as requested, then restart the IMPAX Client install program.

   Note: If you do not have an Internet connection, use the links above to install the components manually.

4. On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for IMPAX Client screen, click Next.
5. On the License Agreement screen, read the license agreement.

   If you agree, select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.
   Or, if you do not agree to the license agreement, click Cancel. The software will not be installed.

6. To install the application into C:\Program Files\Agfa\IMPAX Client, on the Destination Folder screen, click Next.

   Or, to install the application to another location, click Change. In the Change Current Destination Folder dialog, browse for the directory location to install into and click OK. On the Destination Folder screen, click Next.

7. On the Application Server screen, in the Get or confirm application server field, type the fully qualified domain name of the Application Server to use. Click Next.

   Example: radserver.radnet.healthorg.com (do not include http:// or https://)

8. Select the IMPAX Login Type.
• To log into the IMPAX Client automatically after logging into Windows, select Windows Authentication.
• To log into the IMPAX Client separately from Windows, leave the IMPAX Authentication option selected. If you are unsure of your authentication method, select this option.
• To log into the IMPAX Client with a smart card, select Smart Card Authentication.
9. Click Next.
10. On the Ready to Install the Program screen, click Install.

    The Installing IMPAX Client screen appears as the program is installed.

11. On the InstallShield Wizard Completed screen, click Finish.
12. If prompted, restart the computer.
